An Open and Dynamic Office Space by Gang Zheng

As a design office consisting of young teams, Corn Design is defined as an open, dynamic, and vivid space. The sharing hall, which serves as a place for communication and idea exchange, stands as the star of the office. It is an independent box that embraces the space with open and inclusive stances. The seats in the hall are planted like staircases, creating an easy and neat atmosphere. Various colored stools are placed around, adding to the vibrant ambiance.

The design also prioritizes employee involvement and personalization. Employees are encouraged to freely decorate their own office spaces and participate in the creation process. This not only allows for individual expression but also fosters a sense of joy and inspiration among the team members, giving birth to new thoughts and ideas.

The Corn Design office incorporates a range of materials and technologies to bring the space to life. Terrazzo, square carpets, and a green plant wall add natural elements, while anti-noise inorganic cotton spray and sound-absorbing boards enhance the acoustics of the space. Finished partition walls, Emulsioni paint, and sintered stone contribute to the overall aesthetic and functionality.

The project area of Corn Design spans 1300 square meters and was realized between September and December 2019. Located in Ningbo city, China, this office space redefines the true form of a workspace, combining nature, order, and distinct character while maintaining practical office functions.

The Corn Design office was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious award recognizes the outstanding creativity and ingenuity of the design, which incorporates best practices in art, science, design, and technology. It contributes to improvements in quality of life and makes the world a better place.
